31 U.S.C. § 777 — Annuity increases
submitted 44 years ago by Pub. L. 97-258 to r/title-31-MONEY-AND-FINANCE · 80 words · no verdicts yet
This section increases annuities when other federal annuities increase. It also limits one annuity to the Comptroller General’s basic pay and removes a stated limit for a surviving spouse’s increase.
An annuity payable under this subchapter shall be increased at the same time that, and by the same percent as the percentage by which, annuities are increased under section 8340(b) of title 5.
An annuity under section 772 of this title may not be more than the basic pay of the Comptroller General. A surviving spouse’s annuity may be increased under this section without regard to any limitation set forth in section 774(e) of this title.
