33 U.S.C. § 1263a — Grants to Alaska to improve sanitation in rural and Native villages

(a) The Environmental Protection Agency Administrator may give Alaska grants for rural and Native villages. The grants may pay the Federal share of (1) developing and building public water and wastewater systems that improve village health and sanitation, and (2) training, technical help, and education about operating and managing sanitation services in those villages. (b) The Federal share is 75 percent of the cost of the subsection (a) activities. (c) Alaska may use no more than 4 percent of a grant under this subsection for administrative expenses needed to carry out subsection (a). (d) The Administrator must consult Alaska about a way to prioritize grants according to each eligible village’s needs and relative health and sanitation conditions. (e) Congress may appropriate $40,000,000 for each fiscal year 2022 through 2024, $50,000,000 for fiscal year 2025, and $60,000,000 for fiscal year 2026.
