The first sentence of section 494 and section 502 do not apply to a bridge covered by this subchapter.
The first sentence of section 494 of this title , and section 502 of this title , must be inapplicable about any bridge* to which the rules in this subchapter are applicable.
The first sentence of section 494 of this title, and section 502 of this title, shall be inapplicable with respect to any bridge* to which the provisions of this subchapter are applicable.
