The Attorney General must consult the Health and Human Services Secretary when establishing and carrying out substance-abuse treatment and prevention components under the Act. The goal is coordination, less duplication, and more effective services.
The Attorney General must consult the Secretary of Health and Human Services when establishing and carrying out the Act’s substance-abuse treatment and prevention components, to coordinate programs, eliminate duplicated work, and improve service effectiveness.
The Attorney General shall consult with the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services in establishing and carrying out the substance abuse treatment and prevention components of the programs authorized under this Act, to assure coordination of programs, eliminate duplication of efforts and enhance the effectiveness of such services.
