Federal agencies that fund anti-trafficking grants must report their activities to the Senior Policy Operating Group. This keeps the work in line with the Trafficking Victims Protection Act.
Every federal department or agency that runs grant programs to fight trafficking, or to help trafficking victims inside the United States, must tell the Senior Policy Operating Group about those activities. This group was created by the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000. The agency reports using whatever procedures the Senior Policy Operating Group sets up. The point of reporting is to make sure the agency's activities stay consistent with the goals of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000.
Each Federal department or agency involved in grant activities related to combatting trafficking or providing services to persons subjected to trafficking inside the United States shall apprise the Senior Policy Operating Group established by section 105(f) 1 of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000 (22 U.S.C. 7103(f)), under the procedures established by the Senior Policy Operating Group, of such activities of the department or agency to ensure that the activities are consistent with the purposes of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (22 U.S.C. 7101 et seq.).
