34 U.S.C. § 21510 — Rule of construction

This is a rule of construction — an instruction on how to read the rest of the chapter, not a new requirement. It says nothing in this chapter should be read to limit two things: sharing information internationally, or law enforcement cooperation, about any person. This protection covers actions taken under the authority of the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, or any other department or agency. In short, this chapter's rules are not meant to cut off other information-sharing or cooperation powers those agencies already have.
