The corporation must have an agent in Washington, D.C., for legal papers. Serving that agent counts as serving the corporation itself.
The corporation must have a designated agent in the District of Columbia to receive service of process for the corporation. Giving notice to, or serving, that agent counts as giving notice to, or serving, the corporation itself.
The corporation shall have a designated agent in the District of Columbia to receive service of process for the corporation. Notice to or service on the agent is notice to or service on the corporation.
