36 U.S.C. § 22711 — Liability for acts of officials, representatives, and agents

The corporation can be held legally responsible for the actions of its officials, representatives, and agents. That responsibility only applies when the person was acting "within the scope of their authority" — in other words, doing their normal job, not going beyond what the corporation allows. This section does not say the corporation is responsible for actions outside that authority.
