36 U.S.C. § 90107 — Service of process

This law requires the Help America Vote Foundation to name an agent for legal notices. That agent receives service of process on the foundation's behalf. Notice sent to the agent counts as notice to the foundation.
The foundation must designate an agent to receive service of process (official legal notices) for it. Any notice given to, or served on, that agent — including anything mailed to the agent's business address — counts as notice to, or service on, the foundation itself.
The foundation shall have a designated agent to receive service of process for the foundation. Notice to or service on the agent, or mailed to the business address of the agent, is notice to or service on the foundation.
