The Department has an Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs, appointed by the President with Senate approval. This official leads the National Cemetery Administration and does other tasks the Secretary assigns.
There is an Under Secretary* for Memorial Affairs in the Department*, appointed by the President with the Senate's approval. This Under Secretary heads the National Cemetery Administration, created under section 2400, and does any other jobs the Secretary assigns.
There is in the Department* an Under Secretary* for Memorial Affairs, who is appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Under Secretary is the head of the National Cemetery Administration as established in section 2400 of this title and shall perform such functions as may be assigned by the Secretary.
