38 U.S.C. § 310 — Chief Information Officer

The Department of Veterans Affairs has a Chief Information Officer, designated under a federal information-management law. That officer carries out the same duties as other executive agencies' chief information officers.
(a) The Chief Information Officer for the Department* is named under section 3506(a)(2) of title 44.
(b) The Chief Information Officer carries out the same duties as chief information officers at other executive agencies, as described in chapter 35 of title 44 and subtitle III of title 40.
The Chief Information Officer for the Department* is designated pursuant to section 3506(a)(2) of title 44.
The Chief Information Officer performs the duties provided for chief information officers of executive agencies under chapter 35 of title 44 and subtitle III of title 40.
