The Environmental Protection Agency Administrator must research public-health, safety, and environmental effects that may result from geologic capture, injection, and storage of greenhouse gases. The section authorizes $5 million for each fiscal year.
(a) The EPA Administrator* must conduct research on public-health, safety, and environmental effects that may be associated with capturing, injecting, and storing greenhouse gases in geologic reservoirs. (b) The section authorizes $5 million for each fiscal year.
The Administrator* of the Environmental Protection Agency shall conduct a research program to address public health, safety, and environmental impacts that may be associated with capture, injection, and sequestration of greenhouse gases in geologic reservoirs.
There are authorized to be appropriated for carrying out this section $5,000,000 for each fiscal year.
