The Board appoints each special commission established under 42 U.S.C. § 1863(h), with members the Board considers appropriate. Special commissions may study and recommend actions on science and engineering research and education issues.
(a) Each special commission established under 42 U.S.C. § 1863(h) must be appointed by the Board and must have the members the Board considers appropriate.
(b) Special commissions may be established to study issues concerning research and education in science and engineering and make recommendations to the Foundation about them.
Each special commission established under section 1863(h) of this title shall be appointed by the Board and shall consist of such members as the Board considers appropriate.
Special commissions may be established to study and make recommendations to the Foundation on issues relating to research and education in science and engineering.
