The National Science Foundation must give precollege curriculum grantees instructions about protecting students and involving them in research, testing, evaluation, and revision. The instructions must require written approval from the responsible school board or comparable authority before students are involved.
The National Science Foundation must issue instructions to grantees of precollege curriculum projects. The instructions must cover protecting precollege students and procedures for involving them in research and development, pilot testing, evaluation, and revision of experimental and innovative precollege curriculum projects funded by the Foundation. The instructions must require grantees to obtain written approval from the responsible school board or comparable authority before involving those students.
The National Science Foundation is directed to issue instructions to grantees for pre-college curriculum projects covering the protection of pre-college students and procedures for involving such students in pre-college education research and development, pilot-testing, evaluation, and revision of experimental and innovative pre-college curriculum projects funded by the Foundation. These instructions shall require such grantees to obtain written approval of the school board or comparable authority responsible for the schools prior to the involvement of such students.
