Working with the FAA and NASA, the Director must run a research program on drone technology. This program may include a prize competition under section 3719 of title 15. It may also support college curriculum development for drones.
Working with the Administrator* of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Director* must carry out a program of research and related activities on unmanned aircraft system technologies. This program may include a prize competition under section 3719 of title 15, and support for developing undergraduate and graduate curricula.
In coordination with the Administrator* of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Director* shall carry out a program of research and related activities related to unmanned aircraft system technologies, which may include a prize competition pursuant to section 3719 of title 15 and support for undergraduate and graduate curriculum development.
