This section addresses protection of the environment in connection with the covered nuclear activities. It states the applicable requirement.
The President must endeavor to provide in any agreement entered into under section 2153 of this title for cooperation between the parties in protecting the international environment from radioactive, chemical or thermal contamination arising from peaceful nuclear activities.
