42 U.S.C. § 247d–6f — Provision of medical countermeasures to Indian programs and facilities

Whenever the Secretary deploys contents of the Strategic National Stockpile under section 247d–6b(a), or otherwise distributes medical countermeasures to states to respond to a public health emergency the Secretary declared under section 247d, the Secretary must also make those contents or countermeasures directly available to Indian Tribes and Tribal organizations affected by that emergency. The Secretary must consult with the affected states when doing this. Delivery to Tribes and Tribal organizations may happen through health programs or facilities run by the Indian Health Service. The terms "Indian Tribes" and "Tribal organizations" have the meanings given to them in section 5304 of title 25.
