The Secretary may set up and run systems that study the long-term effects on people who have donated an organ while still alive.
This section gives the Secretary* permission — but not a requirement — to create and run mechanisms that evaluate the long-term effects of living organ* donation. These mechanisms study individuals who have served as living donors, meaning people who gave an organ while they were still alive.
The Secretary* may establish and maintain mechanisms to evaluate the long-term effects associated with living organ* donations by individuals who have served as living donors.
