42 U.S.C. § 294 — General provisions

(a) Collaboration: To get assistance under this part, an academic institution must use that assistance while working together with 2 or more disciplines. (b) Activities: A group getting assistance under this part must use it to run new demonstration projects that build up the workforce in the ways needed to meet national goals for interdisciplinary, community-based connections. The money can be used, consistent with this part, to: (1) build and support training programs; (2) develop faculty; (3) run model demonstration programs; (4) pay stipends to fellowship trainees; (5) give technical assistance; and (6) fund other activities that will produce outcomes consistent with the purposes of this part.
