This part defines 'infection with the etiologic agent for acquired immune deficiency syndrome.' The term includes any condition caused by that etiologic agent, not just AIDS itself.
For purposes of this part, the term “infection with the etiologic agent for acquired immune deficiency syndrome” includes any condition arising from such etiologic agent.
