42 U.S.C. § 300gg–27 — Required coverage for reconstructive surgery following mastectomies

This section borrows the mastectomy reconstruction coverage rules from another part of federal law. Those rules apply to group health plans and to insurers selling group or individual coverage. The rules apply as if written directly into this section.
The provisions of section 1185b of title 29 shall apply to group health plans, and and 1 health insurance issuers offering group or individual health insurance coverage*, as if included in this subpart.
