This section authorizes the Secretary to work with Federal, State, public, and private agencies on manufactured-home standards, inspection and testing methods, and model certification guidance.
The Secretary* may advise, assist, and cooperate with other Federal agencies and with State* and other interested public and private agencies in planning and developing (1) manufactured-home construction and safety standards; (2) inspection and testing methods for deciding whether homes comply with those standards; and (3) model guidance supporting the certification required by section 5403(i).
The Secretary* is authorized to advise, assist, and cooperate with other Federal agencies and with State* and other interested public and private agencies, in the planning and development of—
manufactured home construction and safety standards;
methods for inspecting and testing to determine compliance with manufactured home standards; and
model guidance to support the submission of the certification required under section 5403(i) of this title.
