This section sets the effective date for regulations under the subchapter. They generally take effect within 90 days, but the Administrator may set a shorter period when 90 days is unnecessary for compliance.
The regulations promulgated under this subchapter must take effect within 90 days after promulgation, except that, at the time of promulgation, the Administrator* can provide for a shorter period before the effective date if he finds the regulated community does not need 90 days to come into compliance.
