Each applicable implementation plan must contain emission limits and other measures needed to prevent significant worsening of air quality in certain attainment or unclassifiable regions. The needed measures are determined under regulations issued under this part.
(a) Requirements for each applicable implementation plan*: Consistent with the policy in section 7401(b)(1), every applicable implementation plan must contain emission limitations and any other measures that regulations under this part determine are necessary to prevent significant deterioration of air quality in each region, or part of a region, that section 7407 designates as attainment or unclassifiable.
In accordance with the policy of section 7401(b)(1) of this title, each applicable implementation plan* shall contain emission limitations and such other measures as may be necessary, as determined under regulations promulgated under this part, to prevent significant deterioration of air quality in each region (or portion thereof) designated pursuant to section 7407 of this title as attainment or unclassifiable.
