This section sets rules about general provisions. It states the duties, powers, conditions, exceptions, and definitions described in the section.
(a) Additional projects or activities Nothing in this chapter must be construed as preventing the Secretary* from undertaking projects or activities in addition to those specified in this chapter if such projects or activities appropriately further the purposes set forth in this subsection. (b) Application to States, territories and possessions This chapter applies to each of the several States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the territories and possessions of the United States including the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.
