43 U.S.C. § 1064 — Violations of chapter; punishment

A person who violates this chapter, or helps another person violate it, commits a misdemeanor. Each offense may bring a fine, imprisonment, or both.
A person who violates any provision of this chapter as an owner, part owner, or agent, or who aids, abets, counsels, advises, or assists a violation, is guilty of a misdemeanor for each offense. The person may be fined up to $1,000, imprisoned for up to one year, or both.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter, whether as owner, part owner, or agent, or who shall aid, abet, counsel, advise, or assist in any violation hereof, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and fined in a sum not exceeding $1,000, or be imprisoned not exceeding one year, or both, for each offense.
