43 U.S.C. § 144 — Entries on land withdrawn as valuable for oil or gas validated

This section validates a specific group of old land entries (claims to acquire public land). The entries covered are ones that existed on February 7, 1925, and that had been allowed before April 1, 1924. They were made under the Stock Raising Homestead Act of December 29, 1916 (43 U.S.C. § 291 et seq.). The land involved had been withdrawn from entry because it was considered valuable for oil or gas — but it was not reserved or withdrawn for any other reason. These entries are validated, as long as they were otherwise regular, meaning they followed the normal legal requirements in every other respect. There is one condition. The entry is only validated if, at the time it was made, the land was not within the limits of the geologic structure of a producing oil or gas field. If the land was within such a producing field's structure at the time of entry, this validation does not apply.
