This law about Alaska public land does not excuse anyone from paying required fees, commissions, or purchase money when applying for, selecting, locating, or leasing public land there. Any such payments must be turned over to the U.S. Treasury. It removes one possible excuse for skipping payment, nothing more.
No part of this Act frees anyone claiming public land in Alaska from having to pay the fees, commissions, or purchase money that the law or regulations require for an application, selection, location, or lease of that public land. Any such payments, once made, must be deposited into the Treasury of the United States.
No provision of this Act shall relieve any public land claimant from the necessity of making payment of fees, commissions, or purchase money required by law or regulation in connection with an application, selection, location, or lease of public lands in Alaska, and all such payments, when made, shall be covered into the Treasury of the United States.
