This section governs Senate and House document rooms and their superintendents. It assigns the stated duties and authority.
There must be one document room of the Senate and one of the House of Representatives, to be designated, respectively, the “Senate and House document room.” Each must be in charge of a superintendent, who must be appointed by the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House, respectively, together with the necessary assistants. The Senate document room must be under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Senate.
