46 U.S.C. § 115 — Vessel

This section tells you where to find the legal definition of "vessel" as the term is used throughout this title of the U.S. Code. Instead of writing its own definition, it borrows the one already written in section 3 of title 1 of the U.S. Code. That means anywhere this title uses the word "vessel," you must look at that other section to see exactly what counts as a vessel. This section does not itself say what a vessel is.
