This chapter applies to certain uninspected vessels. The vessel must be on United States navigable waters or United States-owned and operating on the high seas.
This chapter applies to an uninspected vessel* that is not subject to chapter 45 and is either (1) on United States navigable waters or (2) owned in the United States and operating on the high seas.
This chapter applies to an uninspected vessel* not subject to chapter 45 of this title—
on the navigable waters of the United States; or
owned in the United States and operating on the high seas.
