47 U.S.C. § 416 — Orders of Commission

This law explains how the Federal Communications Commission's orders take effect. Every order must be delivered to the carrier's agent in Washington, or as the law directs. The Commission can change or pause its orders, and everyone must obey them while they're in effect.
(a) Service
Every order the Commission issues must be delivered right away to the carrier's designated agent in the city of Washington — or delivered in whatever other way the law requires.
(b) Suspension or modification
Unless another part of this chapter says otherwise, the Commission may suspend or modify its own orders. It decides the notice and manner for doing so.
(c) Compliance
Every person — along with their agents, employees, and any receiver or trustee acting for them — must observe and follow the Commission's orders for as long as those orders remain in effect.
Every order of the Commission shall be forthwith served upon the designated agent of the carrier in the city of Washington or in such other manner as may be provided by law.
Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, the Commission is authorized to suspend or modify its orders upon such notice and in such manner as it shall deem proper.
It shall be the duty of every person, its agents and employees, and any receiver or trustee thereof, to observe and comply with such orders so long as the same shall remain in effect.
