The Secretary of Transportation had to report to two congressional committees on railroad bridge displacement detection systems. The report was due within 18 months of November 2, 1994. It had to describe any action the Secretary had taken on these systems.
Not later than 18 months after November 2, 1994, the Secretary of Transportation had to send a report to two congressional committees: the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. The report had to describe any action the Secretary had taken on railroad bridge displacement detection systems — devices that detect when a bridge has shifted or moved out of position, which could signal danger to trains crossing it.
Not later than 18 months after November 2, 1994, the Secretary of Transportation shall transmit to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives a report concerning any action that has been taken by the Secretary on railroad bridge displacement detection systems.
