49 U.S.C. § 41727 — Passenger Rights 1

(a) The Secretary must require each covered air carrier to submit a summarized one-page document describing air-transport passenger rights, including guidelines on: (1) compensation, rebooking, refunds, meals, and lodging for delays of different lengths; (2) the same matters for diversions; (3) the same matters for cancellations; (4) compensation for delayed, damaged, pilfered, or lost baggage; (5) voluntarily giving up a ticketed seat because of overbooking or another passenger’s priority; and (6) involuntary denial of boarding and forced removal for any reason, including safety or security. (b) Within 90 days after submitting the document, the carrier must make it available in a prominent place on its website.
