This section defines three words used in this chapter: aircraft, vehicle, and vessel. Aircraft means anything that can transport people or things through the air. Vehicle and vessel cover land and water transport, but neither includes aircraft.
This section defines three terms used throughout this chapter.
(1) "Aircraft" means any device used, or that could be used, to transport something through the air.
(2) "Vehicle" means any device used, or that could be used, to transport something on, under, or above land. This does not include aircraft.
(3) "Vessel" means any device used, or that could be used, to transport something in water. This does not include aircraft.
In this chapter—
“aircraft” means a contrivance used, or capable of being used, for transportation in the air.
“vehicle” means a contrivance used, or capable of being used, for transportation on, below, or above land, but does not include aircraft.
“vessel” means a contrivance used, or capable of being used, for transportation in water, but does not include aircraft.
