The President may delegate responsibility for reviewing and acting on public recommendations from Presidential advisory committees. Within one year after a committee’s public report, the President or delegate must report to Congress proposed action or reasons for inaction.
(a) Delegation. The President may delegate responsibility for evaluating and, when appropriate, acting on all public recommendations made to the President by Presidential advisory committees. (b) Report. Within 1 year after a Presidential advisory committee* gives the President a public report, the President or delegate must give Congress a report stating either proposed actions or reasons for taking no action on the report’s recommendations.
The President may delegate responsibility for evaluating and taking action, where appropriate, with respect to all public recommendations made to the President by Presidential advisory committees.
Within 1 year after a Presidential advisory committee* submits a public report to the President, the President or the President’s delegate shall submit to Congress a report stating either proposals for action or reasons for inaction, with respect to the recommendations contained in the public report.
