This section makes the chapter apply despite other laws. It also preserves the chapter’s remaining provisions and their application to other people or situations if one provision or one application is held invalid.
(a) This chapter applies despite any other provision of law.nn(b) If a provision of this chapter, or applying a provision to a particular person or situation, is held invalid, that provision may still apply to other people or situations, and the rest of this chapter remains unaffected.
This chapter shall apply notwithstanding any other provision of law.
If any provision of this chapter or the application of any provision of this chapter to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the application of such provision to other persons or circumstances, and the remainder of this chapter, shall not be affected thereby.
