This section defines which agencies are land management agencies and says that a time-limited appointment includes temporary and term appointments as defined by the Office of Personnel Management.
For this chapter— (1) “land management agency” means the Agriculture Department Forest Service; Interior Department Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Bureau of Reclamation; and (2) “time-limited appointment” includes a temporary appointment and a term appointment, as the Office of Personnel Management defines them.
For purposes of this chapter—
the term “land management agency” means—
the Forest Service of the Department of Agriculture;
the Bureau of Land Management of the Department of the Interior;
the National Park Service of the Department of the Interior;
the Fish and Wildlife Service of the Department of the Interior;
the Bureau of Indian Affairs of the Department of the Interior; and
the Bureau of Reclamation of the Department of the Interior; and
the term “time-limited appointment” includes a temporary appointment and a term appointment, as defined by the Office of Personnel Management.
