For this section and the listed related sections, “United States” means the States, the District of Columbia, and the United States territories and possessions.
Unless this section indicates otherwise, in this section and in 50 U.S.C. §§ 1512–1515 and 1517, “United States” means the several States, the District of Columbia, and the territories and possessions of the United States.
Unless otherwise indicated, as used in this section 1 [50 U.S.C. 1512, 1513–1515, 1517] the term “United States” means the several States the District of Columbia, and the territories and possessions of the United States.
