50 U.S.C. § 2014 — Annuitants

The system’s annuitants are people receiving an annuity from the fund based on their own Agency service and people entitled to an annuity from the fund based on someone else’s service.
“Annuitants” are (1) people who, based on their Agency* service, meet all requirements for an annuity under this subchapter or another Act and receive an annuity from the fund; and (2) people who, based on another person’s service, meet all requirements under this subchapter or another Act for an annuity payable from the fund.
Persons who are annuitants under the system are—
those persons who, on the basis of their service in the Agency*, have met all requirements for an annuity under this subchapter or any other Act and are receiving an annuity from the fund; and
those persons who, on the basis of someone else’s service, meet all the requirements under this subchapter or any other Act for an annuity payable from the fund.
