50 U.S.C. § 3734 — Limitation on availability of funds for Cooperative Threat Reduction activities with Russian Federation

(a) Sense of Congress. Congress states that the United States should carry out Program^* activities in Russia only when they are consistent with and support United States security interests. For activities after December 19, 2014, the Secretary of Defense should focus only on activities supporting United States and Russian arms-control obligations or reducing threats from weapons of mass destruction and related materials and technology to the United States and countries in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian regions. (b) Cooperative Threat Reduction activities in Russia. Cooperative Threat Reduction money made available after fiscal year 2015 may not be obligated or spent for activities in Russia unless a law specifically authorizes those activities.
