The Secretary decides how much each eligible state or local government gets under this program each year. Once paid, the money stays available with no yearly deadline.
(a) In general: The Secretary decides the amount of each year's payment to an eligible state* or local government.
(b) Continuing availability of funds after appropriation: A payment made under this subpart stays available to the recipient with no fiscal-year deadline.
The amount of a payment made to an eligible State* or an eligible unit of local government for a year under this subpart shall be determined by the Secretary.
A payment made to an eligible State or eligible unit of local government under this subpart shall be available without fiscal year limitation.
