This law creates the National Park Foundation, a charitable nonprofit corporation. Its job is to accept and manage private gifts of property, or income from property, given to benefit the Park Service. The goal is to help conserve natural, historic, scientific, and recreational resources for future generations of Americans.
To encourage people to give private gifts of real or personal property — or income from or other interests in that property — to benefit or support the Service*, its activities, or its services, and to help conserve natural, scenic, historic, scientific, educational, inspirational, or recreational resources for future generations of Americans, this section creates a charitable, nonprofit corporation called the National Park Foundation. The Foundation's job is to accept and manage these gifts.
To encourage private gifts of real and personal property, or any income from, or other interest in, the property, for the benefit of, or in connection with, the Service*, its activities, or its services, and thereby to further the conservation of natural, scenic, historic, scientific, educational, inspirational, or recreational resources for future generations of Americans, there is established a charitable and nonprofit corporation to be known as the National Park Foundation to accept and administer those gifts.
