The Secretary must keep rules for when Park Service employees get government housing. These rules must look at whether housing is needed to provide services, protect government property, or make up for a lack of other housing nearby.
The Secretary* must maintain criteria that decide when Service* employees are given housing. The Secretary must examine these criteria by looking at the circumstances that make the Service require an employee to live in Federal Government quarters*. Those circumstances include: providing necessary services, protecting Federal Government property, or dealing with a lack of available non-Federal housing in that geographic area.
The Secretary* shall maintain criteria under which housing is provided to employees of the Service*. The Secretary shall examine the criteria with respect to the circumstances under which the Service requires an employee to occupy Federal Government quarters*, so as to provide necessary services or protect Federal Government property or because of a lack of availability of non-Federal housing in a geographic area.
