54 U.S.C. § 200101 — Findings and declaration of policy

Congress makes two findings in this section. First, Congress says it's desirable that all Americans — both today and in future generations — have enough outdoor recreation resources available to them. Second, Congress says it's desirable for every level of government, along with private interests, to act quickly and work together, as much as is practical, to conserve, develop, and use these resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the American people. This coordinated action should happen without reducing or interfering with each group's own existing powers and duties.
