This section defines collection, eligible entity, historic property, nationally significant, program, and Secretary for the chapter. Some definitions incorporate meanings from other cited sections.
In this chapter:
(1) Collection. "Collection" means a collection of intellectual and cultural artifacts, including documents, sculpture, and works of art.
(2) Eligible entity. "Eligible entity" means a Federal entity; a State, local, or Tribal government; an educational institution; or a nonprofit organization.
(3) Historic property. "Historic property" has the meaning given in section 300308 of this title. This section does not otherwise define that term.
(4) Nationally significant. For a collection or historic property, "nationally significant" means meeting the applicable criteria for national significance under regulations issued by the Secretary under section 302103 of this title.
(5) Program. "Program" means the Save America’s Treasures Program established under section 308902(a) of this title.
(6) Secretary. "Secretary" means the Secretary acting through the Director*.
In this chapter:

The term “program” means the Save America’s Treasures Program established under section 308902(a) of this title.
The term “Secretary” means the Secretary, acting through the Director*.
