This section defines “Department,” “Human trafficking,” and “Secretary” for the subchapter. “Human trafficking” points to specified paragraphs in title 22 rather than being defined here in full.
In this subchapter: (1) “Department” means the Department of Homeland* Security. (2) “Human trafficking” means an act or practice described in paragraph (9) or (10) of section 7102 of title 22. This section does not otherwise define the quoted term. (3) “Secretary” means the Secretary of Homeland Security.
