This section requires the Secretary of Agriculture to conduct domestic dairy-product disposal programs to prevent excessive inventories, using the listed statutory authorities or other legal authority.
In order to prevent the accumulation of excessive inventories of dairy products the Secretary of Agriculture must undertake domestic disposal programs under authorities granted in the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938 [ 7 U.S.C. 1281 et seq.] and the Agricultural Act of 1949, as amended [ 7 U.S.C. 1421 et seq.], or as otherwise authorized by law.
