The Deputy Secretary of Agriculture can perform the Secretary’s first-assistant functions and duties under section 3345 of title 5. The Deputy Secretary must also perform duties required by law or assigned by the Secretary.
The Deputy Secretary of Agriculture is authorized to exercise the functions and perform the duties of the first assistant of the Secretary of Agriculture within the meaning of section 3345 of title 5 and must perform such other duties as can be required by law or prescribed by the Secretary of Agriculture.
The Deputy Secretary of Agriculture is authorized to exercise the functions and perform the duties of the first assistant of the Secretary of Agriculture within the meaning of section 3345 of title 5 and shall perform such other duties as may be required by law or prescribed by the Secretary of Agriculture.
