7 U.S.C. § 455 — Dissemination of crop, market, etc., information by cooperative marketing associations

People who are original producers of agricultural products — such as farmers, planters, ranchers, dairy farmers, and nut or fruit growers — may act together in associations, whether incorporated or not. If they are jointly processing, preparing for market, handling, and marketing those products in interstate or foreign commerce, they may acquire, exchange, interpret, and share past, present, and expected crop, market, statistical, economic, and other similar information. They may do this by exchanging information directly between themselves, or between their associations or federations of associations, or through a common agent that they create or select.
